The Central Bank of Nigeria on Monday, January 11, 2016, directed that all banks can begin to accept foreign currency cash deposits into domiciliary accounts.
The CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele who made this announcement in Abuja also informed that the CBN will henceforth discontinue sales of foreign exchange to Bureau De Change operators.
I believe this will bring some form of relief to Nigerians who have not had it smooth ever since the embargo on foreign currency deposits was placed some months ago.
